So Sad

Have just finished watching the interview with Terri Irwin and it has taken me a good hour to stop feeling so sad. My heart just goes out to the whole family, you wouldn't want anyone to go through what they are going through. Have had one of those days today where your emotions go up and down. Spent the day at Grandma's house going through her belongings and getting things ready for a garage sale before we rent her house as we have had to make the call and put G into a nursing home. I just felt like crying when I was looking at her empty house, a house she has been in for nearly 60 years.
My day did pick up though. At least I managed to finish a page. Not the one I was hoping to finish but at least I got one done.
Taking C to the Qld ballet tomorrow to see a production of Aladdin. She is so excited. It will feel strange watching it as I have so many wonderful memories of the Qld ballet from when I was growing up.
I finally started to get my voice back after not having it for nearly a week and a half. The peace and quiet will be gone come tomorrow I hope. I had to take a steroid to help get it back though as it didn't seem to want to come back on it's own. Should probably get to bed and help myself get better. J gone to bed early as he thinks he might be getting sick as well and being a male I really don't need to say anymore. xoxo

Just Love the Weekend

I just love the weekend. Today was viewing day at ballet so we all went to watch C. She just loves it and gets right into it. September is always such a busy month with family and friends birthdays. Have been busy making cards. Just whipped up a quick one this morning for one of my nieces who turns 9 tomorrow. The other two were made for another niece and a family friend. I love making cards. Each time I think I'll just do a simple card and then get caught up in it and end up spending ages on them. No wonder I never have time for scrapping. My goal this weekend though is to finally finish N's page. It has been sitting on the dinning room table unfinished for about a month.
H has been crawling everywhere and is getting faster. I was in the kitchen with him on the floor y'day and turned around and he was gone in a flash. He is so much happier too.
School Holidays have started! Kids home for 2 weeks! aaargh! At least there is no mad rush in the morning trying to get everyone ready. Anyway, off to do some scrapping. xoxo

4th Birthday

Well the big day has finally been. C is finally 4! She had an awsome day. Here is a picture of the trampoline cake she was so keen to have. I asked her later in the day what she liked best of the whole day and she said her cake and when she won musical statues. She loved her dollhouse and we could hear her playing mummy's and daddy's all day.
We had a fabulous time at Springbrook. When we got there it was freezing cold and wet and all we could think about was three days indoors with the kids (what a great recipe for a holiday). However it cleared up and was a wonderful break. I was unwell for most of it though and ended up losing my voice which J thought was the best part of the holiday!! Had an image of C's card to put up but having difficulty publishing it so will post now and try again later. xoxo

wow. Have been incredibly busy. So busy, I forgot to tape Jamie O's new show which I was really keen to see but had to go to dancing tonight. Took some cute photos of H as he has started to crawl. Not the best photos to show his crawling but cute all the same. He is really just slowly exploring everything close to him at the moment and gradually moving further each day. It's hard to believe 8 months have gone by already. C has been counting down the days to her birthday and decided last night that she wants a trampoline cake!! Whatever happened to fairy wand cakes or a star cake. Trust C to give me a challenge. Will post some photos of the end result. Should be interesting. Heading off to Springbrook for the week-end. Yeah! Can't wait. It is soooo beautiful down there and friends of ours have a gorgeous house we can stay in. Plenty of opportunities to take some photos. Time to hit the sack. xoxo

Grey's Night

Have just got in from a night with the girls watching Grey's Anatomy. Great show especially when you combine it with great friends and great desserts!!
Have just put up some photos that I took of C's dollhouse. I finally finished painting it last night now all that is left to do is to get some furniture for it. I am so pleased with how it has turned out. We decided to add some windows to one of the sides. I might look at doing up some curtains for it and some "paintings" to go on the walls. Unfortunately I didn't get any scrapping done on the weekend as the DH was a bit of a priority as C's birthday is next week but hopefully I can fix that as of tomorrow. Bit tired, time to hit the sack. xoxo

Dancing Queen

Have just got in from Dancing class. Having an absolute blast at this class. Am supposed to be doing a concert in November. That will be hilarious! Started painting a dollhouse for C today. Found one at a market for $20 and am doing it up for her birthday. She will be so excited. Can't wait to see her face on the day.
Managed to get paint all over the floor, my clothes and my mobile phone while doing this today, just had to laugh though. Well time to get some work done. xoxo

After finally completing my profile, I am now ready to start posting. A good friend of mine has been sending me a link to a scrapbook challenge. Here is the result of one of the challenges where the LO had to be angled. I was really happy with the result. I think the gorgeous photos of my little girl helped. Her first day at ballet was such an exciting day for her and for me. xoxo

About Time

I can't believe how long it has taken me to start this blog. Finally, it's done!!! Not much time to post too much now as I am off to a friend's house for morning tea! It really is a tough life being a stay at home mum!!
